The Medical Assistant Program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions as a clinical medical assistant in a variety of health care settings. In addition to studying the Human Body Anatomy and Physiology, CPR and Emergency procedures, Blood draw and therapeutics administration, such as vaccines and injections. Students will learn to be competent in;
- Basic Anatomy and Physiology
- Anthropometric measurements and Vital Signs.
- Specimen Collection and processing.
- Basic Pharmacology & minor Surgical Procedures set up.
- Patient assistance and education.
- Healthcare information documentation and charting.
- Patient preparation for EKG procedure
- *Clinical externship to gain the training in a real setting inside a medical office.
